Who We Are

Sibley Grove is an architectural and interior design studio working on bespoke hospitality, retail and residential projects throughout the UK and internationally. Founded in 2010 and with bases in Cambridgeshire and Devon, we work with hotel brands, developers, owner operators and high-end retailers who want spaces that are beautifully designed, operationally considered and built to hold their value over time.

Our work is underpinned by circular design principles and our award-winning Design for Disassembly philosophy. We believe the best design decisions are the ones that serve a project commercially and experientially for years, not just on opening day. That conviction shapes everything we do, from the materials we specify to the way we detail a fixing.

We are a studio that combines creative ambition with genuine technical competence. Our directors bring over sixty years of combined architectural and interior design expertise across some of the most demanding project types in the industry. Collaboration is central to how we work: with clients, operators, project managers and construction teams, we function as one integrated team with a shared goal.

We work across three main disciplines, each informed by the same set of principles: quality materials, honest construction, longevity over trends, and a deep understanding of how spaces are actually built, used and maintained over time.

Hospitality

Hotels, bars and restaurants across the full spectrum of the market, from boutique independents and country house conversions to large-scale branded developments. We understand the operational complexity of hospitality projects and design for the full lifecycle of the asset, not just its opening.

Retail

Bespoke retail environments for brands that want spaces as rigorous as their products. We have designed for some of the world’s most recognised retailers and understand the particular challenge of creating spaces that perform commercially, express a brand with precision, and adapt as that brand evolves.

Residential

Private homes and estate projects for clients who want a home, not a showroom. Our approach to residential design is to create a canvas for the people who live there, grounded in the character of the building and the realities of daily life.

The Team

Our three directors are supported by a tight in-house team of architectural technicians, interior designers, project managers and CGI specialists. We are deliberately structured to remain close to our work. Every project benefits from direct director involvement at every stage, from the first site visit to the final snagging walk. We do not hand projects down a studio hierarchy.

Every project is different. Some clients come to us at the very beginning, before a site has been acquired or a brief has been written. Others have a scheme largely in hand and need focused professional input at a specific moment. We are structured to accommodate both, and everything in between.

Consultancy

A flexible arrangement for clients who need professional input without a long-term commitment. Design reviews, site visits, feasibility advice, sketch proposals. Charged at an hourly rate, called upon as needed.

Fixed-Fee Stages

We agree a clear fee for each design stage before we begin based on the RIBA plan of work. You know exactly what you are getting and what it costs. We can work on a single stage, a selection of stages, or the full sequence from concept through to completion.

Full Service

We manage the design process end to end: concept, technical design, procurement, contractor coordination and on-site oversight. We visit site regularly to ensure the design is being built to the standard it was designed to, so you can focus on running your business.

You are always in control of the scope. Whether you need creative vision, technical implementation, or both, we shape our involvement around what your project actually requires.
