The Counting House

Originally built in 1893, The Counting House stands on the site of the former bank of Dimsdale, Fowler and Company in London’s financial district. The building was sensitively converted into The Counting House pub in 1998 by Fuller, Smith & Turner. In 2018, Sibley Grove was appointed to convert the upper floors from staff accommodation and back of house service areas into fifteen unique boutique-style guest rooms.

We believe that the best interiors are guided and inspired by a building's architecture, history and setting. In the Counting House, no two rooms are the same. Our design embraces these quirks and the unique opportunities they provide. Each room is distinctive but colour-blocking and modern furniture and features are used to provide consistency throughout. Returning guests can select a favourite room or choose a new one with a different character that is nevertheless still recognisably The Counting House.
